The Bilby room is our fully accredited program run by an experienced and Qualified Kinder Teacher.The room caters for 30 children and has 3 full time staff members in the room. An advantage to this room is that you can still use your childcare hours, but your child will benefit from the innovative and full Kindergarten program.
The centre has a uniform planning process based on observations taken of the children and individual goals set. The program follows the centre philosophy, which is based on ‘learning through play’.
We foster all areas of development in our programs whilst always ensuring individual needs are met. In addition the kinder program meets all school readiness requirements through innovative planning ideas such as a library program, specialist movement, music and computer teachers, computers in the room and a PMP program. The program also contains innovative daily group times including drama, dance, music, stories and singing.
In the middle of the day we have a children’s yoga/meditation relaxation and quiet time. If your child still requires a sleep this can be accommodated during this time.
The playground is shared with the three year old group, however the times are rostered so only one group of children are out there at a time.
There is a whiteboard in the room that is used for recording information about your child’s day; what and how much they have eaten, if they slept and for how long and any other important messages about your child’s day, in addition to this staff will always speak to parents to pass on information. |
